the movie made me think about the actuals..

- was it just on the orders of da'ud or police actually was building this thing for some time ..

- how many people were killed or injured..

- did police actually killed builders son ?

- were the story about builder correct - maya defying da'wud on builder - or is it just fiction masala.

- did maya killed his dad ?

- was there a tri of cops ? or was it the khan alone ?

- did khan's boss tried to intervene on behalf of gangster.. was he (khans boss) actually thrased by DG on the wireless ?

- lots more ..

i am not sure if anyone... and by anyone i mean normal junta...will know for sure the answers to these questions.. but here is my take on them...

Disclaimer: These answers are based on what i have heard in media and what i have deduced... they may not be correct.

Some gangster interviewed on a news channel said that Maya had gone to Dubai 2-3 times to kill dawood and was unable to.... so probably dawoob was interested in killing maya... also recent reports in Hasina Parkar case suggest a nexus b/w mumbai police and dawood... So it could very well be a case of dawood ordered/ facilitated killing.... but what i seriously doubt is dawood calling Khan on his office phone himself... he could have asked any of his henchmen to convey his orders to khan or just give him a tip inconspicuously.... On the other hand what goes against this is that some people say that the flat was owned by ShivSena leader Gopal Rajwani and was bought by him for dawood. Roumors also suggest that he handeled benaami properties for dawood... an encounter in Rajwani's flat would have brought into national news relations b/w Rajwani and gangsters... which i don't think dawood would have liked....

6 gangsters were killed... no data on civilians or police injuries/deaths

No idea... but could be true... and one of the reasons that they faced so much heat after this incident

There was allegedly a rift b/w Maya and dawood... and therefore a possibility of 2 parallel extortion rackets. On the other hand they were in Rajwani's flat... which apparently denies any links rift b/w them and dawood

1. There is a book called The Surrender wriiten by khan.. which talks abt the shoot out...
2. Ashok Joshi gang was killed on dawood's behest as the gang has killed dawood's pointman Satish Raje. Dilip Buwa was let off because of his friendship with Maya... this could have been one of the causes of rift b/w Maya and Dawood
3. The shootout was telecast live on CNN
