buzz is that this is going to be desi cindrella man... the original was awesome... if it matches it then its going to be a big hit... in any case i think with yashraj productions and saif and rani the movie would have a solid opening for sure...

saw cindrella man 2 weeks ago.. that movie was great.  At least the cast lineup of rani and saif makes it perfect to be a desi version of that ..

I was reading the official story of the movie. It looks like a mixture of cindrella man & the life is beautiful . Nice mix .. Lets see if they have done it properly .

saw the movie yesterday. i have not seen cindrella man so can't comment on how close it was to that. They did try to pick a thing or 2 from life is beautiful. Basically the part where dad convinces his son that whatever was happening was just a game. But the adaptation was kinda lame. In just 5 min. kids find out that their dumb ass parents are trying to fool them and then they in turn fool them for the rest of the movie by not telling them that they know :) . Dunno if the director was trying to show that the kids were smart ass or if saif-rani were totally dumb.

Yup this movie owes a lot of its scenes to Cindrella Man, just like the director's previous "effort" - Salaam namaste owed a lot to "Nine Months" and "Friends".. Of course since Cindrella man was set in early 20th century and was based on boxing, that would have made it difficult for our Yash Raj hero to dress up in his designer clothes and look cool and dashing while walking to his car in slow motion, boxing changed to NASCAR and 20th century america changed to modern day New York..

Correct Deepak ... only story resembles cinderalla man .other things are far unrealistic in this movie
