Here is the list of five best actors in bollywood i would like to start with Dilip kumar the veteran actor of bollywood he is a living legend All his performances from the role of   a loser in  devdas or innocent ram  in the film  ram aur shyaam  or the role of saleem in mughal e azam All i can say a power house performer .Till now no actor has come who can match to him anyways Secondly Amitabh bachchan he started his career with not so good films but after some time hits followed muqaddar ka sikandar deewar don and sholay how can one forget the role of jai    and even now he is doing some great films and one more reason i share the same name with him Next in the list is shahrukh khan  he  started his career in an unconventional way when amir and salman went with regular good guy roles shahrukh khan played negative role that too early in his career  He was not established too as an actor after sometime he shifted to the lover boy roles untill and unless a swades came in his way  again the actor went to prove his critics wrong  with a break through performance    Next actor  in my list is naseeruddin shah he did not play any herotype roles and  not even popular as srk or say amitji but a great artist I have seen the film mohra remember the song tu cheez badi  though  it was not a good film but bcoz of his presence too some extent the film was a worth watching and teen deewarien hiro hiralal jaane bhi do yaaro are some of his films Last one is  Sunil dutt he is a great artist of his times and one of his best performance was from the film padosan

    Here is my list. I have studies acting and taking acting classes; I am a big fan of Indian films. I believe from my studies that acting should be based not only on performance but also on versatility and pliability. One must be tested in areas of acting and perform well in challenging roles that is the main reason why I would put somebody like Amitabh at # 4, although he has given some of the best performances to date.

#1. Dilip Kumar-Dilip was known to be a very versatile actor, doing well in dramas, comedies and tragidies. Has several top-notch performances: Devdas, Naya Daur, Shakti, Mughal-e-azam

#2. Shah Rukh Khan- Some will disagree but they miss the point. Shah Rukh has been criticized for doing too many "romantic" roles, but these at which he excels, do not represent his entirity as an actor. He has performed admirably as a villain (Darr, Baazigar), a romantic hero (DDLJ, Mohabbatein, Devdas), an emperror (Asoka), a field hockey star/coach (Chak de) and is simply unique in comedies (Yes boss, Kabhi ha kabhi na. His versatility is the most impressive facet of his character.

#3. Amitabh Bacchan- Probably the best ever at the angry, oppressed young man roles. He performed well in revenge based movies such as (Deewar, Trishul, Shakti) and also had a flair for romantic movies (Muqqadar ka sikandar, Silsila); Mr. Bacchan is also deserving of respect for his ability to transform his career after becoming an aged actor-giving stellar performances in older roles like Mohabbatein and Black.

#4. Raj Kapoor- A true entertainer at heart. Raj was a primier actor in the times of Dilip Kumar. He was distinctive in social dramas (awara) and in comedies (Shree 420) and tragidies (Sangam, Mera Naam Joker). He made lighter movies than Dilip but his were nontheless superb and he acted with gusto. He would have obtained greater acclaim but he has paucity of strong dramatic roles, compared to Dilip kumar.

#5. Aamir Khan- Aamir also excels at angry young man roles (ishq, jo jeeta woh sikandar), comedies (andaz apna apna) and also romance (Raja hindustani, Qayamat se qayamat tak) and social dramas (Dil chata hai, Lagaan). He is known for his precise detail to character acting and ability to switch between emotive and restrained acting.
