national awards...

i think they are the only awards whose credibility is still there... recently i came to know that mithun has won it 3 times!, its difficult to believe it after watching gunda :-)... rajkumar santoshi seems to have a midas touch for it, sunny deol got it for ghayal and damini, ajay devgan got it for the legend of bhagat singh...

Re: national awards...

talking abt the regular awards.. who do you think wud get best actor/ actress awards in 2006.. here is my take...

best actor - sanjay dutt (lrmb) or aamir khan (rdb)

best actress - preity or rani (how was kajol in fanaa?)

best actor in a negative role - saif ali khan (omkara)

best actor in a comic role - arshad warsi (lrmb)

best film - lrmb or rdb

best debut female - kangana

i hope dor also gets its due appreciation in critics awards!... cannt think of a male debut which was good in 2006 though...

Re: national awards...
yeah LRMB definitely deserves the best movie award, but you forgot Dinrat that SRK is also in the nominations(I mean Don) and all these awards I don't know why just become helpless in front of him

Re: national awards...
yeah i know... but these awards wud further loose their credits if that happens... srk in a copy cat don cannot be the best actor :-)... couple of years back these guyz managed to give best actor to srk in the same year ajay devgan got national award for best actor for the legend of bhagat singh... i dont remember for which movie srk got the award... and with guys like hspraveen smsing votes for srk u never know ;-)...

Re: national awards...
yesterday I was watching zoom, and a new gossip is in the market these days, SRK has a problem sharing scene space with Amitabh Bachhan, and that is why he is refusing the movie bhoot nath!

any comments??

Re: national awards...
But im not sure even the National awards are all that credible what with all the political influences involved. And I m not sure they can find a panel of judges who understand every single Indian language. The judges have to know the language the movie is in to really appreciate the movie.

Re: national awards...
the best male debut can go to Sidharth for RDB and if you discount meenaxi, even Kunal Kapoor could be eligible

I think SRK got the award for the trainwreck of a movie - Devdas the year Ajay Devgan deservedly won the National award for Bhagat Singh

Re: national awards...

yeah off course!, I did not realize RDB is Siddhartha's first hindi movie :-), i remember one controversy with national awards recently when raveena tandon was awarded it for the movie daman... other than that i dont know of any...

they do give awards to other language movies so i assume they do take a look!

srk-ab fallout looks very much real... its one of the latest gossips...
