How can one compare 2 diff actors belonging to 2 diff eras !?

nowadays generations change every 5 years - and u ppl compare someone 20 years senior !? The movies of yesteryear was based on the psyche of Indian citizens during that point of time - where heroines were well dressed covered form tip to toe and the vamps were semi nude bitches - having as lil a role as 15 mins in the entire movie...but look at the scenario now - the heroine is dressed as a crassy yesteryear vamp and is present all the 3 hours of the movie appearing as a crassy female ! - see the pysche has changed tremendously !!

compare Vinod khanna or Rajesh or Jeetendra with Amitabh

compare Salman, Aamir with SRK

with era changes the technology and multimedia effects - how can two diff eras be compared !?

we can compare actors of two different generations.

i tell u a criteria.

in my point of view ability of an actor is more important than  technalogy.

you could compare actors of different generations with their ability.

technalogy do not make star's.in modern age,amitabh is performing very well.he was also successfull in the past.

technalogy is not so important for him.he is professional.

his craze towards acting is superb.you could compare shah rukh's attitude,professionalism with dilip or amitabh.

 u c all of us act - more or less - don't we? - we do - it is required both in professional and personal life - now look at the bollywood - acting is inthier blood - it is their bread and butter.

today's actors have learnt from the past mistakes of the aged actors - they have had the chance to study the goofs as well as the goods done previously - which makes them more prudent , appearing more intelligent - thus winning more admiration .....

but,u should understand that all of the students are not good observers in a classroom.some are good and some are bad.

some actors could learn well.but ,it does not mean that they are better than their teachers.in my opinion the teachers always remain teachers.

you could compare ammir with dilip kumar.check,who performed the role of a lover or tragedian best than the other.ammir could learn from the mistakes of dilip. but,dilip could not learn the mistakes of ammir khan.so,if dilip becomes number one.it would be a grand acievement.if ammir khan becomes number one,it would be not a grand achievement in my opinoin.

all the old actors were not great and good.some of them were  not good actors.so, you could compare all the actors with their behaviour,attitude and ability..

its like who was a better warrior Shri Rama or Shri Krishna

the former trained a group of monkeys and defeated multidimensional ravana...whereas Lord Krishna himself did not touch any weapon but annihilated several kingdoms of the size of Ravana's kingdom.....depends on the yuga - the era yaar - during Rama's time there were not many demons - only Ravana was there - a threat to 'society building' in a decent & gracious manner - so Lord Rama finished...but during Shri Krishna time - there were many egoisitc blokes who had to be ended - so....so? no comparision between Amitabh and shah rukh......Arjuna cud be compared with Duruyodhana ...not Bhisma.....generations cannot be compared - don't relive history - don't let history repeat itself - just learn from it ...and proceed....

Hey please do not take us to  Sat Yug,  Treta Yug , Dwapar Yug. I seriously cannot understand the analogies of Mahabharat and Ramayan with respect to our own Kalyug's Bollywood. 
And about the comparison between Heros of yesteryears and  heros of these  days. I would say since the defination of a hero in bollywood has not changed we can still compare them.  Heroes back then and even today:

1. Fall in love.

2. Fight with bad guys.

3. give some extreamely emotional scenes.

4. Crack some PJ's and expect ppl to laugh 

5. Sing a lot of songs 

So why not compare them on which one falls in love better then the other..

i did not know the history of mahabarat or hinduism,beacause i am a muslim.

hmmm...yeah ! i see the point now - u r correct Vivek - i shud not be comparing the Maha yugas and the Incarnations with the Bollywood Drain worms - irresponsible wasteful shameless blokes - all of them!
