Just thought I'd jot down some of the most ridiculous things Ive heard from Shilpa Shetty since she won the Big Brother contest..

1. "I was representing my country in a foreign land on that show". she was there for money on a sleazy show with some Z-grade american and british stars..

2. "We are modern in India, Karan.. I mean we speak English well" - on Koffee with karan where she was trying to say that she wanted to prove to the western world that India was modern country.. my ass so according to her Germany, France and Japan are not modern countries coz they dont speak English..  

 

that was ridiculous cant believe this did she say like that  looks like shilpa is going the aishwarya's way

true say

hey cmon u cannot compare Aishwarya to Shilpa Shetty.. Aishwarya Rai is beyond compare.. She carries herself with a lot of class.. I dont really understand why she is not popular on this site.. I agree she is not a great actress but she atleast attempts to be seen in different kinds of movies and she is the face of Bollywood in the west..

deepak iam not comparing her to aishwarya rai  shilpas statements do remind me of aishwarya rai who once told in the interview that we do speak english well and i want to prove this to west  that was aishwarya's statement

I think her comments were in a different context.... she was questioning the myth Indians spoke English in a funny accent.. she wasnt comparing the country's "modernity" was dependent on how the ppl in that country spoke English

i don't see whats so bad about the comment Shilpa made.

But Aishwarya goofed up big time in the David Letterman show

maybe she was a little nervous and she got a little defensive when Letterman made fun of Indians living with their parents even into their 30s

shantanu yes u are rite the  david letterman show and oprah show she has appeared in it often gave some strange answers which did quite a stir
