I think one should learn from the  media as to know   how to make a mountain out of mole hill It is very irritating see how media discusses the life of former miss world aishwarya rai that too not  her proffesional life for which she is here but the personal life about how salman and ash parted and how vivek said he is going to marry ash and now more recently ash and abhi seeing each other we all know that now they are engaged and going to married But the way media reported about the engagement. It was like  as if there was no other thing happening in the world and everything was stopped some news channels showing live coverage some channels  which did  not show live telecast were showing the clips from abhiash movies by giving  them various titles its really funny to see such things shown by the news channel afterall  they hold some kind of  responsiblity and some great news channels were showing this coverage as breaking news Its ok that aishwarya and abhi are public figures but that doesnt make any sense neither ash nor abhi confirmed thier affair till recently when amitabh bachchan  came and broke the ice with the media saying that abhi and ash are getting married ok this news can be shown as part of entertainment but it cannot be a headline  i think media is overdoing it

I totally agree that media shouldn't act as irresponsibly as they have gotten into a habit of these days. But I have reasons to believe that most of these gossips/rumours are the publicity stunts initiated by the people in the entertainment industry itself. You should some time try and observe the impeccable timing of these news items. The aish/abhi stuff reached its peak at the same weekend as Dhoom 2 release. Dunno, if you remember this, but 2 weeks after that, all the new papers where gung-ho about John/Salman fight. That was the same weekend when Baabul was coming in theaters. Then again Aish/Abhi thing picked up as Guru got released.
So in theory I totally agree that these news items are so totally not needed. But then I also think that maybe the celebrities are not that bothered about them as much as we think they are. Its all business in the end.

its simple media is doing their best to increase their trps by showing this kind of news iam not sure but i have heard that some news channel trp increased overnight by showing a full fledged report on abhiash engagement this is all buisness and to some extent the industry too is involved

one more reason i believe is due to too many 24 hr news channels... there is too much bandwidth to show junk on these news channels... and they are doing just that... they are no less than entertainment channels :-)...

i agree with u gaurav this is only a publicity stunt with ash film provoked is all set to release next week now speculations of their marriage dates are on air and more recently  soon after the release of guru  there was this well timed engagement
