Tum (sorry but i am pasting this review here for chakpak does not know of this movie...as yet)
After smash hits like ‘Hum Tum’ and Tum Bin’ – a Bolly Director thought of making a movie and named it just ‘Tum’ !
Manisha Koirala is a mother of two kids – a daughter who is 15 and a son around 17.She is unhappily married. She happens to visit some Holiday Island and is waiting for her husband to join her and celebrate their anniversary. Her husband gets stuck with some meeting so she was alone in the hotel. She meets a young fellow – around 25 or so and generally gets pally with him. He offers to take her around the Island. She agrees and changes into ‘girlish’ attire and clings to his back – on the mobike – and roams around. At night, during a party, since she was lonely – she drinks quite a lot and guess what? – she becomes more or less unconscious and the young fellow ‘makes love’ to her. She was around 42 and he was just 25 ! But still that didn’t stop him from using her body !! And she was so damn drunk – that she did not realize what was happening to her !! She looks at the mirror and screams at her own self – ashamed to know that she could allow such a thing to happen to her – a mother of 2 teenage kids !!She shoos Jatin away immediately.
Her husband joins her and she introduces him to the young boy as a photographer. They part ways.
The young boy – Photographer – Jatin, lived together with a model. The model had literally picked him up from slums (as she mentions it herself – that Jatin you were a street dog when I met you – I brought you to this status – in hindi of course). Now Jatin develops the negatives of Manisha and he is reminded of the sensual night he had spent with her. He wants to have more! Amazing!! He had this shapely, young and taut model to ‘hump’ day and night but he still wanted to have ‘sex’ with the haggard old mother of 2 kids !!
Thus we see this Jatin visiting Manisha’s house – home sweet home – with the excuse of giving the snaps. He then starts to blackmail her and insists that she sleeps with him more often. When Manisha refuses, he encourages her 15 years old daughter for a photo session. Being 15 years old – she had already developed all that is to develop in a female body and she was keen on modeling. Manisha tries to discourage but the teenage daughter was hell bent on getting semi nude pictures of hers ...maybe to distribute among the local fellows to have a good time with ..maybe to increase her rate per session – you see it gives immense sadistic pleasure to whore mongers if the ‘whore’ they hire happens to be some well known model or any other public figure. This shows that girls nowadays have their priorities very clear – they know that when ultimately they have to ‘hump’ on bed – then why not with as many as possible and also have more than enough pocket money – easy money !?
In the mean time it is shown that Jatin’s model GF comes to know of the affair and she starts creating ruckus in the flat. He misbehaves with her and she immediately asks him to get lost ! He immediately falls at her feet and apologizes and tries to entertain her like a monkey – for he had no house and was basically a slum dweller ! his GF had a eunuch (chakka) as her friend and well wisher. She/he always asked the GF to break off with the ex slummy for he was not fit for her.
One fine day, Manisha’s daughter goes out of the house saying she is going to a friend’s house – but actually was heading to Jatin’s house for a photo session. Manisha sends her son to follow her and then she herself goes and watching a flustered manisha, her husband also follows her. Manisha’s daughter comes out in a swim suit – and finds a dead Jatin ! (folks this is the only scene where the young girl is seen wearing a swim suit…that’s all – sob sob)
The entire family reaches – at different points of time – only to find Jatin’s dead body. Each one thinks that the other family member has killed Jatin and thus try to save the other …blood is thicker than water !
At the end, it turns out that the eunuch had mixed poison in Jatin’s coffee because he was giving his GF a tough time !!
Alls well that ends well. Manisha confesses that she had slept with Jatin. Husband has no alternative but to accept her – for the children would otherwise have had to face the brunt of it – daughter would not have got a good family to be wed off and the son would have had to hear it life long….that his mother was a ‘Desperate Housewife’ !!
