A verstile actor ,a great actor,master of emotions,you could say lot about him.

he was true legend.he started his carrier when Dilip kumar was at his peak.dev anand and raj kapoor were other big stars.

but ,he never afraid.ek hi rasta in 56 was hi first big hit.next year he played the role of birju in all time blockbuster film mother india.

he became so papular after that.he also worked in lot of social films sujata ,sadhana,chhaya,Gumrah were such films.

but,people loved him in dacait roles.he played a dacait(daku) role in film mujhe jeene do.he won filmfare award for it.

Khnadaan was another film for which he won filmfare award.

1967 was the best year of his carrier.he gave three big hits in this year.meherbaan ,humraaz and milan were those hits.

in 70s ,he turned into action hero.and became very successful action hero.mere vachan geeta ki kasam,paran jaye par vachan na jaye,geeta mera naam ,zakhmi,nagin and jani dushman were successful action films.

he became supporting actor in 80s.

I wouldnt use the term "supporting actor" for such a great actor, I would rather say "character actor"

Yes he was definitely a great actor and he was a genuine and great person as well! See the amount he has contributed to Mumbai, through Politics and otherwise! 

I really like him, his old movies r really nice, I also like the movie Munna bhai mbbs and smale wali pados. He was really so good.

Sunil Dutt is a legend ; a very good actor, an excellent human being, an honest politician, a caring father and what not. I would just dedicate this song to the immortal person of India :-

   Rang aur noor ki baraat kise pesh karoon, yeh muradon ki haseen raat kise pesh karoon.....kise pesh karoon.
