My favourite star -- Well everybody knows who he is -- 1n only Aftab Shivdasani.
He is a genious in the Indian Film Industry. He acts in a natural manner on screen and is one of the very few actor in Bollywood who is really so versatile and who can transform each and every role of his into a ever-charming and classic so convincingly. All his movies are awesome and have varieties -- and most important they bear certain decency level. None are filthy. Some, rather most of his films got him huge critical acclaim especially Life Mein Kabhie Kabhiee, Ankahee, Muskaan, Footpath, Kya Yehi Pyar Hain, Shukriya, Red, Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega, Koi Aap Sa, Pyaasa etc. His most unique aspect is his clean innocence -- ekdum genuine. At the same time he convincingly played a role absolutely opposite his nature -- a negative character in Kasoor so flawlessly. He always looked cute, charming and handsome but now he has transformed himself red-hot with a muscular, killer, macho looks. And his smile is really a billion dollar. And by the way he may not be a reigning superstar in Bollywood box-office but not a failure either. He has managed to maintain a stable hold-n-record at the box-office with so many averages along with quite flops and some hits -- meaning a balanced, stable proportion. And heyy, yeh unki kaam, mannerism aur nature se pata chalta hain that he is focussed, determined and passionate about his work and that in his working principle creative satisfaction, quality and critical acclaim is his first priority then box-office.
For all these reasons I love Affy so much. For me Aftab is idol, icon and God. He deserves to be a living legend some day. And I know very well he will be that one day.
