There has been some talk about Silambarasan a.k.a STR doing a sequel to his 2004 hit Manmadhan. Though nothing has been disclosed about the film by its makers, there are rumours doing the rounds that Anushka Shetty may be paired up with Simbu in the film.
Incidentally, Simbu and Anushka have acted together in Vaanam, which was an average grosser at the box-office.
Akhil Akkineni, son of Nagarjuna and Amala, will be appearing as a hero in films next year, according to the latest buzz from Annapurna Studios. It is believed that all efforts are being made to get Akhil ready for his debut in Tollywood. At present, he is being given special training in acting, martial arts, and dance in the United States.
Director Mani Rathnam is known for his meticulous and low-profile ways. He is a person who (as a director) gives away very little about any project he undertakes before the actual release.
Finally Rajamouli’s graphical fantasy Eega will be making it to the theatres. Going by the talks from the industry, the production unit is planning to release the film on July 6, which means Rajamouli will be competing for a hit against Trivikram Srinivas’ Julayi which has Allu Arjun as the main lead.
It is believed that after a month long, day and night work with the visual effects and graphics team, Rajamouli is now confident of the output and is planning for immediate release. The film is already delayed by two months.
Silambarasan AKA STR who is busy with a number of films like Poda Podi, Vettai Mannan and Vaalu, is said to be considering on making a sequel for his hit film Manmadhan (2004).
Though nothing has materialized yet, speculations are doing the rounds that his father Vijaya T Rajendar might produce the film while double Oscar-winner A R Rahman might be roped in to compose music.
Even before completing Trivandrum Lodge, director V K Prakash has announced his new movie titled Poppins. The film will depict the emotional aspects of male-female relationships through the story of four couples. Anoop Menon-Ann Augustine, Jayasurya-Meghna Raj, Kunchako Boban-Nitya Menon and Indrajith-Padmapriya feature as the lead pairs.
Madhupal who has proved his mettle with his maiden venture Thalappavu is now gearing up for his second project. The film titled Ozhimuri has many peculiarities in casting. It was already reported that Shwetha Menon will play the role of Lal’s mother in the movie.
Dr Ramanaidu, the movie moghul of south India and World record holder for producing highest number of films has a dream. He wants to remake his erstwhile classic Ramudu Bheemudu. The film which had NTR and Jamuna in the lead roles was produced by Ramanaidu and it was a biggest box office hit.
The star couple of Dr. Rajasekhar and Jeevitha have reportedly been ‘brought’ back into the Congress party’s fold mainly to checkmate the rise and moves of Chiranjeevi, the megastar who dissolved his own political outfit and merged it with the Congress some time back.
