Gautham Karthik begins work on his next
Gautham Karthik, who has emerged one of the sought after young actors in Kollywood after Mani Ratnam’s Kadal, has started shoot for the Tamil version of Nandini Reddy’s super hit Telugu film Ala Modalandi.
A venture by Raviprasad Productions, the movie will be directed by Ravi Thyagarajan.
Rakul Preet Singh of Puthagam fame is the leading lady of the movie, which has music by D Imman. Cinematography is by Gopi Jagadeeswaran, while Lalgudi N Illayaraja of Vishwaroopam fame will take care of art direction.
Thillu Mullu receives a 'U'
Mirchi Shiva starrer Thillu Mullu has cleared the mandatory Censor formalities and the film has been certified with a U by the officials.
Directed by Badri and produced by Vendhar Movies, the fllm is a remake of yesteryear Superstar Rajinikanth's movie of the same name.
The audio launch of Thillu Mullu has been scheduled to be held in Geneva on June 1.
It is said that the film will hit screens a couple of weeks after the audio launch and Vendhar Movies are planning a big release.
Andrea's missed chance
Andrea Jeremiah is a multi-faceted personality who has dabbled in acting, singing and dubbing. The actress, who was an important part of the Viswaroopam cast is now part of the sequel being directed by Kamal Haasan.
she said that she enjoyed working with the Ulaga Nayagam and would act opposite Superstar Rajinikanth if she got the chance.
Meanwhile, there is talk that Andrea had actually been considered for the female lead in Dhanush's Aadukalam, but she had missed out on the chance.
Lakshmi Menon roped in for Karthik Subbaraj's film with Siddarth
Actress Lakshmi Menon is riding high on the success of her two releases- Kumki and Sundarapandian. The actress, who already has a slew of projects in her kitty has been taken on board for director Karthik Subbaraj (of Pizza-fame)'s next project with Siddharth.
Lakshmi has said that she had accepted the offer, but an official announcement will be made soon. she also said that she liked the script narrated by Karthik.
According to grapevine, Karthik is planning to start shoot in Chennai from next month.
K V Anand picks Dhanush for his next
