Vijay Sethupathi with Krishna
Vijay Sethupathi of Pizza fame and Kazhugu star Krishna are set to team up for an action-packed romantic film on friendship.
The as-yet-untitled film will be produced by Hitesh Jhabak who has made movies like Nan Avan Illai, Anjathae, Mapillai and Poda Podi among others.
Jai Krishna, who has worked with Kamal Haasan, R K Selvamani and STR has written the story, screenplay, dialogues and will handle the direction too.
Selvaraghavan's wait for Irandam Ulagam
Filmmaker Selvaraghavan has put a lot into his ongoing project Irandam Ulagam, a romantic, period drama.
Sources said that the team has completed the shooting and post production work is on in full swing.
It is anticipated that the movie will have a lot of computer graphics/visual effects as it is a period film.
The film is now said to be in the post production phase. Selvaraghavan wrote on Twitter, “I have finished my work in Irandam Ulagam. Waiting patiently for VFX.”
Vanakkam Chennai audio next month
Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi, wife of producer-actor Udhayanidhi Stalin, is making her directorial debut with Vanakkam Chennai starring Shiva and Priya Anand in the lead.
Sources said the makers are gearing up for the audio release, which is expected to happen sometime next month (May). The film is touted to be a comedy-oriented entertainer and the filming is progressing a brisk pace.
Young music director Anirudh of “Why This Kolaveri …” fame is working on the songs and music.
TVSK final schedule complete
Sundar C's Theeya Velai Seiyyanum Kumaru (TVSK) has progressed serenely and the team shot some sequences including a song in Japan.
Meanwhile, buzz is that the schedule in Japan has been completed and the team is on the way home.
The comedy-based entertainer starring Siddharth, Hansika, Ganesh Venkatraman and Santhanam is set to hit the screens sometime in May.
Hansika wrote on Twitter, “And it's a wrap for #tvsk,one of the best crew I have worked with .thank u japan:) en route bbay. For now sai-yo-Nara.”
Arya 'weds' Nayanthara
Arya 'married' Nayanthara in a wedding solemnized at a Church in Pune. The wedding was part of the filming for the duo’s upcoming film titled Raja Rani, also starring Jai in a prominent role.
Sathyaraj, who plays Nayanthara's dad and Santhanam, good buddy of the hero (Arya) and many others were also part of this shoot.
Buzz is that it took around three days for the director to shoot the wedding sequence which is supposed to be one of the film's highlights.
Review: Gouravam
Sirish's debut film Gouravam, directed by Radha Mohan and produced by Prakashraj's Duet movies hit screens today.
The film touches upon the sensitive subject of honour killings still prevalent in rural India.
