Karthi spends time with orphans
Actor Karthi, the younger son of veteran actor Shivakumar is his people-friendly ways and batting for social causes. He also encourages fans to do so through Makkal Nala Mandram, a social welfare club.
The actor was previously part of a short film to create awareness on tackling dengue fever. Recently Aruwe, a social welfare organisation that cares for destitutes and orphaned children, had organized an annual fund-raising show, Karthi who was part of this event, danced with children.
Director Nandhini to return with a thriller
Remember director J S Nandhini, one of the few women directors in Kollywood, who made Thiru Thiru Thuru Thuru with Ajmal in the lead?
She is now eyeing a return, but this time with a thriller, unlike her debut venture which was a comedy.
If sources are to be believed, the director has gotten down to work on the movie and plans to release it towards the end of 2013.
An announcement on the cast and crew and title is expected soon.
Aadhi Bhagwan to release on February 22
Jayam Ravi’s Aadhi Bhagwan, directed by Ameer, a much-delayed project, may hit theatres on February 22.
It is said that the makers have approached the Censor Board and are awaiting the certificate.
The film's heroine Neetu Chandra wrote on her micro-blogging page, "Just got a call from Dir. Ameer -AB is finally releazing on 22nd so staying back for the promotions :-))) I need AB n AB needs me.

Sonna Puriyadhu - Krishnan Jayaraj is giving his all for the movie. The film, touted to be a comedy, is gearing up for release this month and the director is keen on bringing in as much innovation as possible in terms of promotion.
He has come up with a poster now showing the film's hero Mirchi Siva and Vasundhara Kashyap in a pose similar to the one by Leonardo di Caprio and Kate Winslet in the Hollywood epic Titanic.

Ajith makes Taapsee feel comfortable
Ajith and Taapse Pannu are busy shooting for Vishnuvardhan's untitled project. According to sources, Taapsee was initially nervous about shooting with a big star like Ajith.
But the gentleman that he is, Ajith made Taapsee feel comfortable on the sets and showed her how to go about things. She is now said to be enjoying working with him.
The buzz is that the cast and crew are gearing up to shoot some important sequences in Dubai as the director mentioned it on his Tweet.
