Mathukutty moves to Kozhikode

Director-Producer Ranjith has shifted the location of his new film to Kozhikode. The director who started his new movie Kadal Kadannu Oru Mathukutty in Pathanamthitta was forced to go for a location shift due to increasing visitors and onlookers which started affecting the shoot.

Now in his favourite location of Kozhikode, Ranjith's ‘Mathukutty’, played by Mammootty'will talk in Pathanamthitta slang. The movie has Mammootty as a Germany based NRI originally form Pathanamthitta, who is forced to take care of a group of touring film stars.

Prithviraj in Blessy's Aadujeevitham

Aadujeevitham'by Benyamin is undoubtedly one of the best read Malayalam novels of the decade. The novel which told the plight of expatriates in Gulf countries also went on to fetch most of the literary awards of the last year and was reprinted around 40 times in a span of two years.  Now, celebrated director Blessy is all set to adapt this work to a film.

K R Manoj's Kanyaka Talkies progressing

After earning plenty of accolades for his documentary films, director K R Manoj has started shooting for his first feature film titled Kanyaka Talkies.

A movie which tells about the men associated with the C- Class theatres of the state, which is currently facing extinction, Manoj has cast theatre artist Alensier in the lead of this film as ‘Yacob’, a C Class-theatre owner.

Vinayan to release Dracula 3D in English

Director Vinayan's latest Dracula 3D has been able to make an impressive run in the Mollywood Box Office, making four crores collection in 75 days.

Vinayan has been able to create a hit after half a dozen flops. Visibly excited by the feat of the film, the director will soon release the English version of the movie. Vinayan is planning to go for a worldwide releas of the version by August 12.

Vinayan will also start his next project again in 3D titled Little Superman.

Sunil Shetty in Kalimannu

Bollywood star Sunil Shetty was earlier seen in Mollywood in a cameo for a Priyadarshan flick Kakkakuyil.

Now he will do another for celebrated director Blessy's new film Kalimannu. The shoot with the actor is scheduled to happen by next month in Kerala.

The movie which explores the relationship between a mother and child already has another celebrity cameo in director Priyadarshan , who is for the first time facing the camera for a feature film. Kalimannu will grace the theatres by this June.

Suresh Nair's Mohanlal film

Suresh Nair is famous in Bollywood as the scribe of the hit movie Kahaani and Singh is King. Amidst his busy days penning the next big project Bang Bang, with Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif, the scriptwriter was recently in Kerala to meet Mohanlal and discuss his new project with him.

Mohanlal, quite impressed with the oneline has agreed to do it with the veteran Joshiy at the helm of the project.Suresh Nair is excited about the project as Mohanlal is one of his favourite actors.

Indrajith hopes to be roped in for Randamoozham

After garnering applause for his latest role of 'Father Vattoly' of Amen, Indrajith is quite upbeat now a days.

He has recently completed his first big role for the MT-Hariharan film Ezhaamathe Varavu, which is getting ready to be in theatres. And by the second week of May he will have his another biggie Left Right Left; with  Arun Kumar Aravind in theatres.

Fahadh Faasil’s Akam to release on April 26

Fahadh Faasil, who is on a high after his hat-trick of hits this year, will have another new movie release by next week. His movie Akam which was completed long back will get to release centres by April 26.

Directed by Shalini Usha Nair, this art house movie is loosely based on Malayatoor Ramakrishnan's famous novel Yakshi.

The movie will have Fahadh as a young architect who suspects that his wife is a ghost. Anumol stars as the heroine while Prakash Bare and Shelly appear in other prominent roles.
