the movie is mother of all saas-bahu sagas in bollywood... the story is cliche but with a difference (jara hatke hai :-)...

the story is about aruna irani who marries a rich landlord for his money,  that landlord has a young son, but aruna manages to fool him big time and he just worships his step mother... anything she says is the final word for him... aruna and his brother (anupam kher) manage to take control of everything... the story takes a 20 yrs leap and the anil becomes the son... events so happen that he has to marry madhuri who is very smart and intelligent... now when madhuri sees how aruna has control on everything and making fool of everyone the awesome game of chess between her and aruna starts... the attack and counter attack game continues with quite some comical events... towards the end the movie has quite good emotional drama and all is happy at the end...

overall, awesome performances by aruna, anil kapoor and madhuri dixit... the movie was good family drama with decent comic stuff... songs were good, especially the hot number dhak-dhak karne laga... pretty good family watch...
