Bombay to Goa Story

A busload of colorful and unruly passengers includes a mystery-woman(Aruna Irani) who witnessed a murder and is now being chased by both the killer(Sinha) and a tall, dark stranger(Big B) intent on protecting her. One of Bachchan s earliest roadtests has it s comic charms. Amitabh Bachchan in an image of a chocolate hero with Aruna Irani. The whole film is shot on the way from Bombay to Goa in a bus with almost forty odd characters from various parts of India. Aruna is a girl wishing to be a heroine in the films. She leaves her house with money to join a person Shatrughna Sinha and his partners, who is supposed to take her in the film. But in a quarrel amongst them for Aruna s money, one of the men is killed by Shatrughna. After this Aruna gets shocked and runs away from the place. She directly goes to the bus heading towards Goa. The bus is full of comic characters like conductor Mehmood, south Indian Mukri and his family, God-woman Lalita Pawar etc. The journey begins and lots of comical sequences take place. Meanwhile Amitabh Bachchan also gets into the bus and try to tease Aruna with various tactics. One of the gangsters also enters the bus and keeps a vigil over Aruna. The story ends with the elimination of Shatrughna and his gang by the passengers of the bus and the hero Amitabh gets the heroine, who s also, her fiancée. The comical sequences in the movie are fabulous one and entertain a lot. The performances by all artists are good. The song, Dekha Na Hai... , is all time hit.
