a little off... don't be mad...

Okay first of all, I've got to say that the first part was really interesting and had some seriously funny moments.

I love the whole comic book effect, made me think of Sin City (which I loved).

Z.K. had blue hair, which makes him look hotter! (completely irrelevant I know, but I just had to put it out there! LOL)

But the second part was really confusing. I was left with tons of questions and no desire to re-watch the movie to find the answers.

How did A...(read more)ngad play everyone?
Why were they blaming each other for the marked bills?
why didn't Doc get his cop wife to tell him more abt their plans the way she did when they were already in trouble?
How come they weren't caught?
And who the heaven was that girl w/ Z.K. (Lucky) in the plane?
And BIGGEST QUESTION OF THEM ALL: WHY OH WHY did Lucky feel the need to tell the whole story to a complete stranger that for all intent and purposes could've been a cop???

Also Sunil Shetty's fans, plz don't get mad but I think, his acting skills are really not all that great, sorry to say but he makes stories go really slow!

Z.K. needs to find better movies to act in, cuz he's above that (though I'd watch any movie he's in no matter how crappy! LOL).

The women did an awsome job and so did Ritesh. The acting overall was great the story just fell short.

The last song was pretty cool :)

The movie was a wastage of Time & Money

The entire movie left me guessing for one thing or the other. First thing that was to be decided was that whether it was a movie or a cartoon film?

Next the plan for stealing the diamond made by Doc which has been called as the master plan in film left me guessing about the thinking capacity of the script writer. How can someone even think of such a bull shit plan in a normal state of mind?

The scene of stealing the diamond by Lucky(Ritesh Deshmukh) from such high security make up is far below from the level of even calling it ridiculous or childish.

Next the scene of  Diya stealing the diamond from the ship is defies even the laws of physics. even after making such a large hole in the ship the ship doesn't sink. Is it practically possible?

I know we come across such miracles in the world of Hindi films but the action sequences that has been shown movie is much more then even calling them miracles. My advice would be watch the movie only if u afford to leave your brain outside the Cinema hall.

I feel the only relief in movie is its music which is atleast foot tapping.

Just because of the comedy scenes every once in a while, This movie's ranking is saved from being at bottom of the pile.

-Due credit goes to Ajay devgan's timing and dialouges too. Tjis make it worth a watch, but only if u have nothing better to do.

well, I actually enjoyed the movie, as compared to others who left the show in between. What else do you want - Holy bip-bop (what else can you call mumbai made hip hop) all the time in the movie and no crying aishwarya rai to seen for full 3 hours. Not in the regular league of Ajay Devgan movies, but close to worth one watch.

complicated story - okayish music, lacks in all departments

Cash story is too compilcated - Its a story about 1 (which becomes 3 afterwards) diamond and how the thief (gang ?) tries to steal . There are 5-7 main characters - and its litterally a mess to undestand the connections between them. The story ties up okayish in the end, but its way too complicated ..

Cash music is okayish . Its has hip-hop  style numbers - some of them are pretty catchy ..

It lacks in all the departments. The overused animated sequences look cheap. The movie looks like a sequence of slide-shows. The action sequence are cheaply funny. The dialogues are lacking. Wuh ..

Its a dhoom 2 kind-of movie, but done in a worse way. So u know what u get when u take a bad movie as inspiration and execute in a bad way ...

My say - please avoid it. Its better to do anything else.

style without substance

Here is a piece of advice for Anubhav Sinha .Style doesn’t work without substance. This film has style but lacks even a semblance of a plot. Maybe Anubhav Sinha wants to start the trend of stylish and trendy cinema a.k.a Hollywood In Bollywood , but the animated action scenes. Leave you gasping for some real action.

Now the plot or the lack of it is a vengeful guy who is after a diamond and uses a team of crooks to get it done. Shamita shown to very smart is n’t smart enough that her boyfriend itself is the guy leading the crooks. I tell you sometimes the director takes the audience for granted a lot.

A foreign model there for an item number hardly dances but the cinematographer has more than made for it by focusing on her glamorous face. Dialogues are a complete let down. Screenplay never seems to be high point of the film. One has to understand  that telling a joke over a dead friend is not emotional, you can’t compare it with Vinod Khanna singing for a dead Amitabh.

As for the actors they have a nothing to do , not much scope for performance.  Shamita manages to look sexy but that ‘s about it .Even Ajay Devgan fails to give you any moments to suit back and cherish. Sadly , when will Bollywood realize all the money which is being drained down every Friday, only if a  fraction of it spent on genuine Script writing talent the damage could be sealed.

Adlabs - dull moment begins
Aug 4, 2007

If you want a review on this movie.. every ounce of what Avinash ( author of first review) has been witnessed, and all that's true. Its a jackshit movie, like many more other.

This might not be the appropriate place but i want to point out to you guys, Adlabs is going junk. They used to bring decent cinemas to people, although they lacked the originality - Guru was a good movie overall, Bheja Fry was hilarious ( although a remake of a french movie), spiderman-3. I wow them for bringing Black Friday to screen after so much of hassles. But these guys probably want more money(which is alright) by cutting down on production quality. What came next was Aap Ka Suroor and this wholesome comedic thriller Cash. Thanks god they didn't try to make this a re-make of Blood Diamond (when i heard the movie being shot in Africa i feared this for a moment).

To add to my personal sadness, adlabs has shut down IMAX theatre in mumbai - makes me feel rather sad - i always wanted to watch a screening in IMAX but i couldn't make it so far - and now its gone.

Something about the movie - i dunno who drew those 2D animation and who built those hypernoisy background music to go along with - it was not COOL. Its the worst of all animations. I heard Adlabs are investing big in animations and they are going to release a 3D movie on Rajnikanth. If what i saw today is a prelude of what to come, i am guaranteed not to check out any of your animations stuffs.

The slogan 'Never a dull moment' no more fits with these guys - unfortunately for them and more unfortunately for us, the viewers.
