this is not an entertaining film. It shows devdas and its story in modern era. even before none of devdas have presented it with true human nature but this shows.

Either you hate it or love it,but for me its a milestone movie for Bollywood. Nobody has dared to try something like this in India,hats off to Abhay Deol and Anurag Kashayap.

i think it deserve 5 stars the treatment the performance n music n especially the climex the one who don'tlike it must b fan of happy yet rubbish movies like rub nebana di....... m i right guys?? u lov rub ne bt can ne 1 who sum1 who cnt identified her husband wth muschtase n with out take a chill guys n wel come to real cinema

Dev D is not Devdas, it's by all means "DEV D"... To truly support it's identity, it's individuality, there are three outstanding actors, one outstanding director and great funky music. Major blunders which could have taken place due to misdirection have been handled quite cleaverly with all the inputs dealing with sex and adultness. Acting seems to be never a challenge for Abhay Deol, and to add to his credit this movie presented him as an actor who seems to be in the glamour line for maybe 2-3 yrs more than Sharukh Khan. I am not comparing them, they are completely different actors of different genres. Acting, music, sex, direction and what's more??? Yes the story, somewhere near Devdas with lots of true facts embeded and takes a complete 'U' turn, somewhere in the middle. It's a poweful script with lots of punches and a little hitches which can be easily given a miss!!!, It's definitely a 5 starer and to prove my point may be i can offer you a free ticket...
