I watched Dostana with lots of under expectations.Reasons: first as the story was out on blogs before even the movie was released,so I thought it would be a cheap gay comedy with jokes from movies like Hollywood spoofs or Marlon Brother movies,just in Hindi.Secondly,to be frank I never approved Abhishek as an actor.But as I watched the movie,Abi shut my mouth.He dominates from beginning to end.The producer/Directors who try to make him look amitabh should learn a lesson from this.remove bachan from his name,he still is an actor at his own and a great one.He is cute,natural and dominating throught out Dostana without a touch of Big B.This is a role his dad never did as the topic is so 2000's topic,so u see an actor working as him not like his dad.He is awesome and so natural that even priyanka's seduction is over shadowed by his cuteness and his spontaneous dialogue delivery..The jokes are different too,not the repeated gay ones..I should appreciated the screenplay that the dialogues not favour gayism and dont make fun of it either.Its decently shown that friendship is the winner,not sexual attraction.The direction is superb too..Now for John,after being overshadowed by Arshad Warsi twice.This time he does the job,though still abi is all over you when u watch each scene.That Kuch Kuch Hota Hai scene with Priyanka is cute.Now our girl Priyanka,she looks cute and acts well for the part though I still think for such a role,there was nothing challenging for her..Bobby deol just is plastic and worse of the lot..The songs are really of today and make you hum.Pardesi Girl,Maa Ka Laadla,I will be alright.I jusI watched Dostana after a lot of under expectations to be fair..First of all I thought it would be a cheap gay comedy (as story was out before release on Blogs) with jokes we usually hear in spoof english comedies or Marlon Brother movies but only in Hindi,Secondly I was never a fan of Abishek at all..But when the movie started.Abi took me by storm,rather shut my mouth as he dominated from beginning to end.The people making movies making him look like Big B should learn a lesson now.He is Abhishek alone without a Bachan name too,he can do it.Obviously this is something his dt cant chose which is better..So when u have such perfection in a movie..Watch it in a theater,Buy A Dvd and store it as prestigious part of Indian Cinema Collection..10/10 stars for the movie... |

This movie is a veryy very nice movie. Maybe a bit more targeted to younger audiences but nonetheless is a very creative and risky adventure. The movie has a lot of new comedy (so no cliched lines that you have heard already), and i have to say, the actors have such an AMAZING chemistry. This is one of those movies that will get you hooked, and after it is done, youll be wishing for more. PS - the music is also very good - JAANE KYUN DESI GIRL SHUT UP AND BOUNCE are my personal favorites =) |

.i really love john he looked so fuckin hot in the movie and priyanka did 2 xxxxxx. i really hated abhishek at first but after i watched dostana i kinda liked him more so that shows how much i love that movie oh my gosh i really love it to much so many words for it.that was the best movie ever i wud really wanna see more like it . i think that dostana should get a thousand awards REALLY and itz just so freakin kool please watch it ?i just love it oh my gosh !
