This was the world's most sweetest film.

My dad used to spoil me when i was younger by getting me a new dvd along with the soundrack iswell but hum saath saath hai is the only one that i've kept.

Prem and preeti are the most lovable creatures....you don't want to stop watching them. Every little scene; when he hugs her on the stairs, He helps her onto the elephant before flirting with her, He buys her the whole set of bangles. My most favourite was when he changed the position of his rear view mirror so only him and her were visible.

Even though they showed the three small love stories the main priority was how much love there are between the three brothers. Vinod is the cutest the way he's always there for everyone, making them all laugh. You need someone like him in your family.

Overall little small bits of this film make it so memorable; mamta's friend calling her husband her brother in law. Preeti's dad complaining about dieting. Prem and Vinod fighting and chasing each other. Sangeeta putting oil on her brothers hair, Vinod always being their for preeti (dancing with her at the wedding, asking her to come with them to rampur). Like i said before Prem and preeti's scenes are so amazing e.g. After their engagement prem and preeti's farther were talking before preeti hugs her dad and they show prem smiling while looking at her and Prem hugging preeti while she was giving him food. Basically all their scenes.

However like all films this film does have its negative parts, for example 10/11 year old children are still learning their ABC's and they have a song which goes "ABCD.....I LOVE YOU" . Secondly people work so hard throughout their lives to become doctors but they leave it all after marriage to become a housewife, doesn't seem logical.

A dream within a dream

The movie was released almost a decade ago but while watching it today it generated the same feelings, at times tiny twinkling of humour , at times little warmth by the four pair of romance going onscreen, and most of the time was smothered by too much of sugariness and tedious plot.

The plot is looooooosely borrowed from Ramayana, out of three sons , step son becomes the kurbaani ka murgaa... much later everything get sorted out and the big fat traditional indian family sings and sighs 'Hum saath saath......"

The movie is a constant carnival .Of parade of actors from barjatiyas' regulars like aloke naath to mohnish behl, sallu, saif ali khan , tabbu, neelam, karishma, lemme see who i forgot,,, umm yes sonali bendre and more...., the songs, the pujas, the parties, life is but a dream and this movie is a dream within a dream...

P.S: This is the movie whose dull story ( I guess) prompted sallu wont of action and hence he so famously ( or is it un-) shot black buck ( i forgot 'allegedly ')

P.s II: Watch it
