Employed as a mere waiter in Sanman Restaurant, Rajiv Bhatnagar dreams of news-reporter, Geeta Kapoor. Imagine his delight when she approaches him to find out if he was a witness in a recent murder. Rajiv decides to lie in order to be close to Geeta, and agrees to be publicly interviewed on national television. During this interview, he unwittingly admits that he saw the killer, and describes a man, he saw in the elevator. As it turns out, this man was indeed the real killer, and now Rajiv and Geeta must run for their lives themselves as the real killers are after them.
