watch this movie for shotgun sinha,or watch it for yash chopra's one of the best work ever,u can also watch this movie for salim javed's amazing screenplay.and if not, then watch it for amitabh bachchan's powerhouse performance.This movie is awesomely written,well directed and above all, all the characters are well placed with great execution.For a change this is not a typical romantic movie in which yash chopra has done phd,this movie is based on the some real issues of 70's of the malik-majdoor of coal mines.Amitabh is a worker of a coal mine with a darker history behind him, shashi kapoor is descent as an engineer, prem chopra as mine owner is as kameena as u know him.Shatrughan sinha,a fugitve , is adorable with his catchy lines and sponty dialogues . movie also has some pretty faces namely parveen babi ,neetu singh and rakhi gulzar.The movie progresses with good pace, with some clashes b/w amitabh and shatrughan sinha and leads to the disastrous end of mine collapse with flood,and how our heroes comes to rescue for the majdoors. and how amitabh gets over the dark shadows of his past. at the end a very good movie i must say.
