The story is set on the backdrop of an apartment and here live Karthic (Rathan) and Anithaa (Manju). Karthic is the son of Ramachandra Murthy (Kota) while Anithaa is the daughter of Krishnamurthy (Rajan P Dev). Both of them live in the same block and they grow up from childhood. As time passes, Anithaa develops feelings for Karthic but never expresses them. Meanwhile, the boy and girl keep doing their mischievous pranks to get at each other and in no time the situation gets serious and they become enemies. Anithaa feels hurt but then she lives on the hope that one day Karthic will come back. However, things take a turn when Krishnamurthy decides to get Anithaa married and fixes her alliance with a new groom (Abhinay). The wedding is fixed after Anithaa completes her college. Meanwhile, Karthic begins to feel the absence of Anithaa in his life and in no time, he realizes that he is in love with her too but when he is all ready to go and share his thoughts, Ramachandra Murthy passes away. Karthic is shocked and to help him out, Krishnamurthy gets him a job. Anithaa from her end makes it clear to her parents that she is in love with Karthic. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.
