|
A well knit tale, the story is set on the backdrop of the famous Muttam, the hamlet of the fisher community. Here comes Thulasi (Thananya) along with her granny (Nagamma) since she has been abandoned by her parents. Here she joins the government school and her education is sponsored by the kind hearted Chandra (agavamma). However, things take a turn when Chandra's son Koochan (ramakrishnan) gets smitten by Thulasi and falls in love with her. This affair is discovered by Chandra and she drives both Thulasi and her grandmother away from the village when Koochan is out on a tour. Thulasi goes to her relative at Tuticorin and in no time, she is engaged to the local goon Dharma (tharun). However, Dharma gets arrested right on the day of marriage. Upset by the happenings, Thulasi returns to Muttam only to find Koochan turned into a chronic alcoholic due to his love failure. However, he decides to bring order to Thulasi's life but then Dharma comes back from the jail to take Thulasi. What happens after that, go and see it.
