A routine tale, the story begins on the backdrop of Vizag shipyard and in comes Palakollu (Dasari) to join the loading workers. The truth is, he is Major Narasimham who comes in disguise to locate and avenge the death of his most favorite disciple Major Devaraju (Mohanbabu) who comes home on a holiday and gets tangled in a land encroachment issue with the bad guys. The list of baddies is long with Subbaraju (Pradeep), Adiraju (Sayaji), Bhupathi (Rahul) and few others. An element of suspicion arises on Palakollu from Hari (Srihari) who is suspended from duty as police inspector. Meanwhile, Subbaraju who is the boss of Palakollu and the rest of the workers tries to woo him as he becomes the Mestri but Palakollu refuses to bend and a scuffle happens that leaves Subbaraju dead and Mestri happy with achieving part of his revenge. He is sent to jail and the real truth comes out about his identity. He is however helped by the Gandhian Gopalakrishna (Vijay Kumar) who stands up for election on public demand. But then Mestri unveils a shocking truth in all this. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.
