this movie was really one of the best movies of bollywood
seen hundred times and will also see it hundred times in future.
main jaha rahoon.....................teri yaad sath hai.
its excellent
it really is a cool movie the jodi of katrina and akshay(ma favourites) is really good and they both rock 2 d core, its a must watch for any movie lover .....take my word see it u wont be dissapointed!
The necessity of spoken English. The heights….depths actually , that an Indian male can go through in order to win the heart of a fair and lovely damsel – no matter how much he is insulted…and degraded – he readily accepts it all – courtesy : English speaking fair and lovely ..ultra modern woman.
Also how dumb parents can ruin the life of their child !!
Movie showing parents of a girl (Katrina) born and brought up in England force her to marry an Indian village – rustic male. She marries him under pressure but as soon as she arrives in London she refuses to acknowledge the wedding and tells them of her plan to marry a Britisher – who had already broken 4 engagements. The Britisher was from a rich family….and good looking too !
The Indian rustic male (Akshaya) then readily accepts all sorts of insults & humiliation in order to win her heart. Its but obvious actually – for the girls in his village – who assemble around to see Katrina – are shown to be truly below average, uncouth, unsmart and ugly looking ! Thus any man who even gets the slightest chance to ‘bed' someone as pretty as Katrina – he would surely do so – a typical Indian male psychology has been shown very deftly by the Director.
Katrina ultimately agrees to sleep with him all her life because in the last scene she heard him speak in English – and boy ! she was impressed !! He could speak English!! Now that was the ultimate winning point of his in the movie – all his courteous nature and sweet and mushy attitude – everything failed – it was just ‘spoken English' that was required and could have saved him from so much humiliation in the first place !!
...Beauty is Skin deep folks - at least in Kalyug IT IS - wake up...wake up and give up all false hopes and illusions !!
Though its yet another love flick, however i could'nt digest why akshay fell n love with katrina, and why(well..in the climax .and thanks god off the airport )katrina felt a love feeling so strong that she declined her marriage with her angrez boyriend. May be because akshay delievered four line in english. Akshay was launched sooo late in the movie that i almost lost interest in the movie ,only the sight of so amazingly beautiful katrina was the only reason for me to glued on my seat.Men, this chic does not know how to act but she is so ravishing you just feel utterly focused on screen just to have the glimpse of her. Director could use Akshay in a greater extent but he was (may be) lost to the face of katrina so he forgot to get Akshay on the screen. And instead of Dude Akshay you ve to tolerate this irritating upen patel (Though for a little) but u have to. Like every NRI flick english people are shown havin no knowledge of india and insulting indians that does not make any sense at all.(But this time in addition to caling it a country of snakecharmes they also mention it to be a country of call centres). The director has tried to depict the english people in a offensive way thats not justified as well. Well u can this movie for apna munda Akshay and soni kudi Katrina(agai i would love to mentin that she is soooo lovely)
A fab 'Indian' cast, Akshay 10/10 always!! Katrina stunning (but bless her acting skills are debatable!! but she sure can move!!) Rishi Kapoor was his charming funny self!! Even Upen was a pleasant surprise!! The only side to let the team down was the 'English cast' where they found these people is beyond me!! Charlie should have been played by someone much better looking!! Maybe they couldn't afford Hugh Grant ;-) Watch the film for a feel-good afternoon!!!
the movie is a total entertainment...after a long time i got to see such a beautifull movie.....akshay is a fantastic....charismatic hero why is he not noticed in any award function....he is very much under rated hero...his dialogue are built in comedy...i loved the film plz go and watch and have fun.....yeah but if u are a serious type person who doesn't like humor or who analyses to much then avoid going....its a fun movie....
Admittedly, not too much of a Bollywood freak, I reluctantly joined some visitors to World Cup Cricket in Trinidad to view NAMASTEY LONDON at Movietowne Port of Spain. In these days of KANK and other fare that attempts to adulterate Indian values ,morality and ethics at the expense of cheap Western cultural lifestyles, NL shines like a beacon in the skies. It hollers to out to people to participate and assimilate in the Western cultures but to stick to age old traditions that have been tried and tested .
The family entertainer NL is one of the best movies that I have seen in years. Well crafted, beautiful photography, good use of Western professionals and technology that ends up with a truly embellished and beautifully told story . Music while not catchy fits in well in situations in film. the director was truly brillisant and the acting superb. Let NAMASTEY LONDON be a must see for all families...you will definitely want to see it again.

Namastey london is yet another film on the NRI theme. NRI wants to get his girl (katrina kaif) married to a desi (in punjab). and then the predictable sequences continues...
The whole movie was so-so, but some of the scenes depicted british in a pretty negative way. I think we indians are educated enough, and are grown up so as not to criticize them in a peevish way. These sequence looked childish and I didnt like them at all ..
It is a pass unless you are akshay fan; katrina looks hot too :).
