New York is one of the few movies in recent times that brings the incidents that happened after 9/11 to the fore. The movie brings out the actor in Neil in the form of the charcter Omar who after failing to succeed in his love, has to prove that his friend, Sameer is not a part of terrorist activities. Not to forget the superb performance of Katrina in her character Maya. She is a girl who doesn't know that she is in love with Sameer until he is injured and it is then she realises that she is in love with him. She is for the people who have been suffering due to the illegal detention by the FBI and even after knowing that her husband being involved in terrorist avtivities just hopes to see him back in the evening after a day in his office. John also gets a thumbs up for his potrayal of Sameer, an attention-seeker, who has been illegally tortured. It is the manner in which he potrays the transformation from a soft-spoken guy to a terrorist(that too a well-planner). Irfan Khan also succeeds in proving his point that its the responsibility of every Muslim to cleanse the way the world looks at them. The climax connects the characters with the audience by means of exposing the reality behind the actions of each and every character. Welcome to the bold new Bollywood. i love the newyork movie.its a good movie and everyone acted very well and specially john.omg he is so cute.bipasha is very lucky that her boyfriend is john.i wish my boyfriend could be john i love john so much and i saw most of his movie.
overall nice movie....everyone acted nice though climax should have changed somewhat ..then the film would have been a huge hit....saddy climax isnt acceptable....in all not a waste of money and time but u can have a gr8 time in hall.....
