Perumazhakkalam

Ganga (Kavya), a Brahmin girl lives on the banks of Kalpathi River and her husband Raghurama Iyer (Vineeth) works in Saudi Arabia. But one day the news of Iyer’s death reaches Ganga and she is shocked to know that he was killed by Akbar, another Malayalee. Akbar’s (Dileep) wife is Raziya (Meera) and she is shattered when she knows that her husband is in a jail in Saudi waiting for death sentence. Akbar accidentally kills Raghu, but the Shariat court sentences him to death. Akbar's life can be spared only if Ganga gives a written statement to Saudi government pardoning Akbar. The movie deals with Raziya's battle to save her innocent husband and how Ganga copes with the mental trauma after becoming a widow.
