A mindless tale, the story begins with a terrorist (Srihari) who goes to Kashmir and joins the terrorist group led by Ashfaq Khan (Yashpal) and vows to burn India in bombs. He is given a mission to kill retired army man Krishnadevaraya (Krishnamraju) so that the peace talks between India and Pakistan can be spoiled. The terrorist takes the guise of a bus driver Srisailam in the engineering college that the ex-army man is the chairman of. Also present in the college is the son (Ram Kiran) of Krishnadevaraya who has got a love story going with Likitha (Suhani). Meanwhile, Srisailam begins his trial but then there is a flashback to his story. He is not a terrorist but an army major. So what is the real truth? Does he kill Krishnadevaraya? All this forms the rest of the story.
