Biniya (Shreya Sharma) lives in a village in Himachal Pradesh, and has become famous due to her Japanese blue umbrella. So popular is the umbrella, that Nandikishore (Pankaj Kapur) wants to buy it from her. She obviously refuses.
One day her umbrella goes missing and though all efforts are made it is not to be found. The prime suspect is Nandi, but even a search of his house gives nothing. He then gets a red and white Japanese umbrella for himself, which makes him popular in his village.
So then, what happened to the blue umbrella?
