the movie was a joy to watch... awesome performances by amrish puri, anil kapoor, tabu, milind gunaji... the story is about a thakur family headed by amrish puri, anil kapoor is his son who has studied abroad and wants to settle down in urban area, he has a girl frnd also... sudden death of amrish puri forces him to get involved and act as thakur of the village... events so happen that he has to marry a village girl also... the conflict with his cousins is the climax... the movie is a must watch just to see the performances of amrish and anil kapoor...
