Kamna Jethmalani in Nagarjuna’s Bhai

Although Kamna Jethmalani had couple of hits to her credit, luck eluded her from being the top heroine. Now it seems that her luck is going to be turned, as she has bagged a good meaty role in Nagarjuna’s latest flick Bhai.

It is being said that although the main lead of the film is Richa Gangopadhayay, Kamna has a meaty role in the film.

Andrea in London!

The multi-talented Andrea is busy with Viswaroopam 2. The actress, meanwhile, is apparently taking time off from the Kamal Haasan-starrer and shooting for a Malayalam film in London.

Sources have it that Andrea isn't part of the Chennai schedule of Vishwaroopam 2, which is presently on.

Meanwhile, it is said the Viswaroopam 2 team has completed a major part of the film's shoot in Thailand and is expected to shoot in Delhi and Pune in the days to come after the Chennai schedule is completed.

Tamannaah in Mahesh Babu’s Aagadu

The latest buzz in the tinsel town is that Tamannaah has been confirmed as the main lead opposite Mahesh Babu in Srinu Vytla’s Aagadu. Sources near to Tammannaah have confirmed the news.

Tara resigns as KCA Chief

There has been news doing the rounds that Tara will be removed from the post of President of the KCA, for quite some time now. Tara belongs to the Bharatiya Janatha Party and the ruling Congress naturally expects to bring its patrons to that post. In fact, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had indicated in May that all the presidents of the Academies must submit their resignations or they will be sacked. On Saturday afternoon, there was news that Tara had been removed from her post.

Ramesh to play Basavanna in Maha Shivasharana Haralaiah

After portraying various roles, Ramesh is all set to play the role of a 12th century social reformer Basavanna in a new film titled Maha Shivasharana Haralaiah.

This is the first time Ramesh is acting in a period film and B A Purushottam who is known for such films has penned the screenplay and dialogues apart from directing the film. The film was launched on Thursday in Bangalore.

Arjun Sarja to direct a Kannada film

Actor-producer Arjun Sarja has expressed his desire to direct a Kannada film one too many times in the last couple of years. Though Arjun is recognised as a commercial director in Tamil, Arjun could not direct a Kannada film due to various issues.

Now Arjun is all set to direct and produce his first venture titled Abhimanyu. Apart from production and direction Arjun has also written the story and screenplay for the film. It is not yet known whether Arjun's nephews Chiranjeevi, Dhruva and Bharath Sarja would act in the film.

Fahadh Faasil with Lenin Rajendran

Fahadh Faasil, has been well known in selecting the best of the scripts and directors, which has made him a hot property in Mollywood.

Now the actor who is completing his new film Olipporu  is roped in to do the lead role in Lenin Rajendran's new film. The untitled film has Padmapriya for the first time as the lady love of Fahadh.

This new movie set against a theatre backdrop depicts the struggles and disappointments in the life of a drama actor. Lal is also doing an important role in this movie, which will start soon.

I don't look for lead roles in Bollywood: Prithviraj

In an interesting revelation, Prithviraj has made it clear that when it comes to Bollywood, he is not looking for lead roles. “The character must be different and must be supported by an able banner, that is my only priority,” says Prithvi, who seems to have taken his Bollywood assignments pretty seriously.

Double whammy for Dhanush on June 21?

Looks like it is going to be a double whammy for Dhanush on June 21. Two of his much-awaited films - Raanjhaana (Ambikapathy in Tamil) and Bharat Bala-directed Maryan are ready for release and may hit the marquee on the same day (21 June).  

The news of Raanjhaana arriving in theatres on June 21 is already known and the promotional activities too have started. The producer of Maryan, Aascar Ravichandran, is said to be keen to getting the film released on the same day.

Sivakarthikeyan excited with Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam

Sivakarthikeyan's stock is on the rise in Tamil filmdom. He is basking in the success of Ethir Neechal and is excited about his forthcoming project Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam

Also, he is pairing up with veteran actor Sathyaraj for the first time and said he enjoyed working with him.  

Sri Divya and Bindu Madhavi don the female leads while music is by D Imman and the film is directed by Pon Ram, a former associate of Rajesh of SMS and Boss Engira Baskaran-fame. Rajesh has scripted the film too.
