| f you were a fly in my sister’s bedroom, not only would you have her arrested for lying through her teeth, but your love spirit would be murdered for sure. But then, if I were to go incognito and follow some of you with a video camera, I’m sure I’d have to have an asthma spray nearby.
People just ain’t what they seem. We put on appearances, hold hands and smile sweetly for the camera, then go home and sleep in separate bedrooms with suspicion thick in the air.
Often the need to stick it out is fuelled by the decision alike to what my friend calls “the quitting culture”.
Our spoilt generation have long accepted to opt for the way out instead of finishing the race. We ask ourselves in silence, shouldn’t we be like our mothers and see if it would kill us to just breathe in and out and see where the wave takes us? |
