this move is a cheap imitation of the classic alistair maclean book & movie where eagles dare. somewhere in the himalayas lurks evil general dong (god kabhi wrong ho sakta hai, lekin dong kabhi wrong nahin ho sakta) who is unleashing terror on the peaceful citizens of dongrilla. a team of indian soldiers led by mukesh khanna scales mountans, fights mini-battles, sings songs, marries one of the locals, etc while also finding time to capture & kill general dong! it's a fun movie if you are planning to just laugh at the happenings. a highlight is amrish puri's som shom shama song :)

this is probably a 3.5 star movie. it was one of the initial shammi kapoor movies that i watched, so i loved it at that time. this movie is set in the idyllic locales of kashmir. and this is waheeda rahman's debut movie - she certainly looks like a small kid! the songs of this movie are just amazing - ehsan tera hoga, chahe koi mujhe junglee kahen, sukoo sukoo, etc! in fact i bought a music cd this movie recently (in combination with junglee & professor) - i think i will listen to that now.
