What can you do but laugh at a bunch of visitors who go around a spooky, scary forest populated by man-eating tigers and a suspected ghost, doing ridiculously stupid things. It may be okay to borrow the storyline from a movie but borrowing a storyline from just a movie title is a little too much. But, "Kaal" is a `whodunnit' that has tigers (instead of lions) and a ghost on the list of prime suspects. Talk about "The Ghost and the Darkness" taken, literally, for a storyline of kaal.

Here is how watching "Kaal" can be made interesting. Prepare a list of thriller/horror flicks "Sixth Sense ,The Ring," "The Village, "Scream," "I Know What You Did Last Summer or even "Bhooth," "Vaastu Shaastra" or any film from the Ramsay Brothers. And after every scene, knock out the name of the movie that reminds one of the sequence in "Kaal after all what does a heavily inspired product look like it looks like kaal  which makes even the horror spoof, "Scary Movie" look sober.

There is John Abraham who wears a `What am I doing in this movie' look throughout

vivek oberoi sucks big time

as for the actresses esha deol the less said the better lara dutta was there only to scream

and ajay devgan does a good job 

well even music could not save this movie as the two songs one kaal dhamaal which was in the beginning and tauba tauba was after the movie ends

If there is any reason to see this movie it is Abhishek Bachchan. For, he tackles his role with dignity, finesse and at the same time displays a good flair for comedy.

The story is all about how Raj (Abhishek), son of a medical practitioner (Suhasini Mulay) in the U.S., resists the idea of marriage. There is Mamaji (Satish Shah) in Bombay who comforts the mother that if she manages to send the son over to India he can change things around what with the line-up of beauties he has. And so Raj is emotionally blackmailed into boarding the flight to India and whom does he meet at the airport? Aishwarya of course! And it is one chain of events with a little surprise element. Soon two men, one of them Abhishek and other arbaaz khan   are fighting over Aishwarya and who wins? See the movie!

 Bunty Aur Babli is directed by shaad ali the director who has made saathiya i watched this movie recently Lemme tell u it was a silly film wonder how this movie worked at the box office it should have been a flop

The story is about  Rakesh (Abhishek Bachchan) who is of all ideas and no work kind of a guy.He wants to be rich and famous even though it means fame through notoriety. Vimmi (Rani Mukherjee) also shares similar ideas. Individually they set out to establish and achieve their goals. Sooner or later their roads cross each other and they meet. Rakesh and Vimmi turn Bunty and Babli , two con burglars who together con people and steal money .Dashrath Singh (Amitabh Bachchan) has got the challenging task of taking the two in captive In the entire second half dashrath keeps chasing vimmi and rakesh and how far does he succeed forms the rest of the story line 

 performances abhishek was irritating as ever and rani mukherjee does a good job finally its  big b who is the show stealer  

the only saving grace was the music  i like the songs chup chupke nach baliye and dhadak dhadak  

 Overall avoid watching this movie 

saajan was directed by lawrence dsouza this movie has salman sanjay and madhuri playing the lead roles

the story starts off with aman (sanjay )who is orphaned at young age and he is adopted by akash's (salman ) parents aman  and akash are best friends they grow up. Both of them meet and fall in love with pooja(madhuri) aman comes to know that  akash is in love with puja and aman decides to sacrifice his love  akash realizes that he has cheated puja and decides to go away from her life so that pooja and aman can marry 

saajan was one of the successful films of 90's 

sanjay dutt acted very well and so does madhuri salman was strictly ok

the music was superb 

overall it was a goodfilm 

my brother nikhil was directed by onir this movie stars sanjay suri and juhi chawla in the lead roles the movie is about how a person's life who's diagnosed with aids gets affected

the plot - the story starts off with  nikhil(sanjay suri) who is a swimming champion at the national level everything was going well in his life till he was tested hiv positive Now that he is diagnosed with aids the entire society neglects him including his family who ignores him.He is treated like a criminal He is arrested and kept in a dirty room. on one hand when family doesnt support him nikhil's  sister stands by him she takes the help of lawyer to fight for nikhil's rights He has right to live freely and lead a normal life like everyother human being In the end, nikhil dies 

 performances wise sanjay suri did a great job and juhi chawla acted well

 direction was great 

overall it was a sensitive film i would highly recommmend this movie to everybody plz watch it 

Muqaddar ka sikandar was directed by Prakash mehra This film has amitabh bachcha,vinod khanna rekha and raakhi in the lead roles 

This film starts off with a young boy who is a homeless orphan He works in kaamna's  house as a servant He falls in love with Kaamna on her birthday celebration kaamna's father accuses him of theft (which he hadnt committed) and throws him out of the house  He gets the name sikandar from his foster mother who dies  He grows up into a young man(  amitabh bachchan) However he meets kaamna(raakhi ) but she rejects him so  sikandar starts drinking and visiting  zohra (rekha)a prostitute  who falls in love with him.Later sikandar discovers that kaamna is in love with his best friend vishal and they decide to get married meanwhile zohra's lover( amjad khan) hears of zohra's love for sikandar and  on the day of their marriage  zohra's lover kills sikandar and zohra commits suicide

 performances wise amitabh bachchan was at his usual best in the role of sikandar he was excellent rekha was great and vinod khanna and raakhi were ok songs were excellent especially o saathi re and salaam e ishq 

overall this movie was a tragedy but a must see for amitabh bachchan's fans 

Iqbal was directed by nagesh kukunoor this film has naseer uddin shah shreyas talpade and shweta prasad in the lead roles The story  is about a deaf-mute boy who aspires to be a cricketer and how he realizes his dream inspite of facing so many difficulties

The story starts off with iqbal,a deaf-mute boy who dreams of becoming a part of indian national team however his father doesnt support him   Iqbal's sister however helps him in getting into an academy where he is accepted for his talent by guruji but when iqbal indulges in a fight with kamal who is a rich boy and is the star of the academy He is immediately thrown out .Then he  seeks help from mohit(naseeruddin) who was once a great cricketer.Mohit however finds it difficult to give coaching to iqbal but with the help of sign language he trains him

 However iqbal's father discovers the truth that iqbal is going against his wishes and wants him to help him in his work  mohit somehow helps iqbal to get a place in andhra team iqbal plays for this team he bowls very well and people start noticing him.before the final day of the match guruji tries to bribe iqbal to bowl badly and threatens him if he doesnt then he will not be selected at national level iqbal rejects his offer inspite of his father who is facing financial difficulties However at the final day,iqbal bowls very well and wins the match for his team 

overall its a must see film  

Rangeela was directed by ram gopal varma this was one and only good film which he has made so far it has aamir khan jackie shroff and urmila in the lead.

The story revolves around urmila a middle class girl,who aspires to be an actress Munna a tapori (aamir khan) is urmila's friend and he secretly is in love with urmila but couldnt express his love towards her soon urmila  gets a break to act in a film  when jackie recommends her to a director Jackie also falls for her Things become complicated when munna feels that urmila is not interested in him .so munna decides to go from her life 

 performances wise it was aamir khan all the way he is simply outstanding in the role of munna and urmila too comes up with a brilliant performance jackie shroff was ok

music by ar rahman is a worthlistening all the songs especially tanha tanha is wonderful track  

Duplicate is directed by mahesh bhatt who also made films like hum hai rahi pyar ke,dil hai ke maanta nahi and many more I happened to see this movie on television and one word to describe this movie its awesome The story  somewhat goes on the lines of rajesh khanna's film sachcha jhoota this film was serious one.but duplicate is a fun film 

The story Bablu(shahrukh khan) is an innocent guy who wants  to become a biggest cook in the world He comes to the hotel where he meets sonia( juhi chawla)who is the banquet manager.Babblu is selected as a cook by sonia Manu who is the duplicate of babblu is a gangster and escapes from the prison Police one  day arrests babblu thinking that he is manu. Meanwhile, manu kills his partners and takes the money. Manu comes to know about his duplicate babbloo and here actually the story starts  Manu thinks of starting a new life as bablu  by killing bablu However in the end ,Manu kidnaps his  mother and sonia so bablu comes to their rescue 

Performances Shahrukh was outstanding in the role of bablu as well as manu and even juhi chawla does a great job as sonia though she only comes for dancing and few scenes but she excels at comedy sonali bendre is not at all impressive she hardly has some four five dialogues 

Music mere mehboob mere sanam is a wonderful song and wonderfully picturised as well 

overall this was a great comedy film
