Mahesh Babu is presently working under Sukumar’s direction for an untitled film. While the shoots are nearing completion, the first look and the title of the film will be announced on May 31, the birthday of erstwhile superstar and Mahesh’s father, Krishna. The first look launch and title announcement will be made in Hyderabad at a grand function.
Mahesh Babu’s relative and actor Sudheer Babu of SMS fame is ready with his next film called Prema Katha Chitram (PKC) and it will be released on May 11.
The film is being directed by J Prabhakar Reddy, who has been cameraman for Ee Rojulo and Bus Stop. The director of Ee Rojulo and Bus Stop, Maruti is one of the producers of this flick and he has also written the screenplay and dialogues.
Hero Mahesh Babu and director Srinu Vaitla will soon start working on their next production titled Aagadu.
The film will go to shoots after the hero’s completion of present assignment with director Sukumar. Meanwhile Srinu Vaitla is busy finalizing the script and cast for the film and it is believed that he has roped in Shruti Haasan to play the heroine role for the film.
And according to industry sources Shruti too has accepted the offer and will be part of this ambitious project. The film is being produced by 14 reels Entertainment.
Kona Venkat, who made sensational statements regarding Tollywood directors and indirectly against Srinu Vaitla is now out of the director’s team for the next film with Mahesh Babu. Kona and Vaitla had tiff on the issue of credits for Badshah movie and this turned out to be ugly for both of them. Now they have parted ways after a very successful journey.
Erstwhile actress Shobana is making a comeback to Telugu screens. The actress who has numerous hit films to her credit in all the south Indian films has been one of the top heroines of Tollywood in the 1980s and 1990s. Her films like Abhinandana, April Okati Vidudala, Appula Apparao, Allari Alludu, Vikram, etc were all box office hits.
Sudheer Babu, of SMS fame and relative of hero Mahesh Babu, is giving another try in Tollywood. His first outing in the industry as hero with SMS was a disaster. Now he is completing the shoots of new film Prema Katha Chitram and the audio for the same is being released by Mahesh Babu on April 10 in Hyderabad.
Mahesh Babu and director Srinu Vaitla’s next film is on the cards and is titled as Aagadu (The Unstoppable). The film is likely to go on floors in June this year.
