Mammootty to join sets of Daivathinte Swantham Cletus

Mammootty will join the sets of his new movie Daivathinte Swantham Cletus from June 12. In another case of Mammootty patronising a debutante director, it is the long-time associate of prominent Mollywood directors, G Marthandan, who will start his career as an independent director.

Honey Rose will play the heroine to Mammootty in this film scripted by Benny P Nayarambalam. The movie is expected to get completed in a single schedule and will be based on the backdrop of a professional theatre group.

First Look: Kadal Kadannu Oru Mathukutty

Bavuttiyude Namathil published as a book

After an impressive theatre run, Ranjith’s latest script Bavuttiyude Namathil has been released in book format. Mathrubhumi Books are the publishers of this script.

The official release of the book was made by Megastar Mammootty in a function organised at the Vythiri Village. Writer T P Rajeevan received the first copy. 

Mammootty speaking on the occasion said these kinds of scripts gain importance, as they talk about the victory of goodness.

Gautham Menon to direct Mammootty and Fahadh Faasil

It has been confirmed that after his new Tamil movie Dhruva Nakshathiram, director Gautham Vasudev Menon will be doing two Malayalam films, one with Megastar Mammootty and the other with Fahadh Faasil.

It is learned that Gautham recently met Mammootty in one of his movie sets and discussed his ideas. Mammootty, who seems to have been impressed with one story that has him in a police character, has asked Gautham to go forward with the scripting.

Mathukutty moves to Kozhikode

Director-Producer Ranjith has shifted the location of his new film to Kozhikode. The director who started his new movie Kadal Kadannu Oru Mathukutty in Pathanamthitta was forced to go for a location shift due to increasing visitors and onlookers which started affecting the shoot.

Now in his favourite location of Kozhikode, Ranjith's ‘Mathukutty’, played by Mammootty'will talk in Pathanamthitta slang. The movie has Mammootty as a Germany based NRI originally form Pathanamthitta, who is forced to take care of a group of touring film stars.

Gautham eyes Mollywood foray

Director Gautham Menon has carved a niche for himself in the Tamil film industry and Tollywood too, while he has made a foray into Bollywood too.

Now, he is keen to try his luck in the Malayalam film industry.

If sources are to be believed, the Khaaka Khaaka and Neethane En Ponvasantham-fame director has narrated a script to Malayalam superstar Mammooty and is expecting to get a positive response from him and get things started.

Salam Bapu's next with Mammootty

Though his first film Red Wine featuring an ensemble cast had a limited run at the Box office,  director Salam Bapu has already fetched the dates of Mammootty for his next project.

This new movie will be a satirical comedy and the director is having discussions with the megastar. Interestingly,Salam Bapu was originally planning to make his debut with the Mammootty  flick.

Mohanlal-Mammootty to share the screen in Kadal Kadannu Oru Mathukutty

Ace director Ranjith has renamed his new movie with Mammootty as Kadal Kadannnu Oru Mathukutty. Earlier titled as German Returns, the movie will have the megastar in a clean-shaved look.

He will be playing a German returned NRI in the movie. Many prominent Malayalam stars including superstar Mohanlal, Dileep, Fahadh Faasil and Prithviraj among others will appear in cameo roles in the film.
