Kajal tries in vain to pacify mentor Bharathiraja

Kajal Aggarwal’s remarks about heroines not getting the desired respect from Tamil film-makers and that she cared nothing but ‘a shit’ about it has not gone down well with Kollywood’s film fraternity.  She has had back-to-back films opposite Suriya and Vijay in Maattraan and Thuppakki hitting the screens last year.

Ajith praises Vidyut

Actor Vidyut Jamwal made an impressive start to his career down south with some great performances in the Ajith-starrer Billa-2 and subsequently in Vijay's Thuppakki.

He is now donning the lead role in a Bollywood film titled Commando and the promos are said to be quite impressive.

Kajal to pair up with Vijay again?

The Vijay-Kajal Agarwal combination worked big time in Thuppakki, which turned out to be a huge success. Now, it looks like the two may pair up again soon.

Sources close to Kajal say that she has quite a few projects on hand. She is part of the Karthi-starrer All in All Azhagu Raja. Vijay is currently working with AL Vijay in a film that features Amala Paul as the heroine.

Controversies 2012

Vijay mobbed

Illayathalapathy Vijay is presently shooting in Mumbai for the as-yet-untitled film directed by A L Vijay. The film has Amala Paul as the heroine and music by GV Prakash Kumar.

It seems Mumbai has become one of Vijay's favourite locales after Thuppakki and is busy with work on A L Vijay's movie. Speculation is that the movie may be titled Thanga Magan in all likelihood.

Kajal to act opposite Akshay Kumar in Hindi Thuppakki?

Kajal Agarwal is riding high on the success of Thuppakki after her earlier biggie Maattrraan didn't live up to expectations.

Now, it seems after her rather good show in Thuppakki as Vijay's love interest, she is set to reprise the role in the Hindi version too.

There was speculation that Parineeti Chopra would be donning the female lead opposite Akshay but the director was apparently keen to have Kajal on board for the remake.

Rajeev Pillai, the new addition to Vijay’s film

Looks like Vijay who just about managed to tackle competition from the handsome hunk Vidyut Jamwal, a Bollywood import, in Thuppakki, will have to do it again in his forthcoming movie.

It is said model-turned-actor Rajeev Pillai, who has worked in Bollywood and Mollywood projects previously, will be part of Vijay's next film to be directed by A L Vijay. Interestingly, after doing cameos in Bollywood, Rajeev will be doing a full-fledged role in his Kollywood debut which features Vijay and Amala Paul in the lead roles.

Vidyut Jamwal gets ambitious

Vidyut Jamwal has come to the fore, as the baddie, in the now running Vijay starrer Thuppakki. He is at his menacing best in the film

After a good beginning with Ajith's Billa-2, Vidyut has consolidated his position with Thuppakki. His performance and looks have come in for a lot of praise.

Murugadoss to direct G V Prakash

Director A R Murugadoss, who is riding the high wave after the tremendous success of Thuppakki, is gearing up to start work on his Hindi remake of the same with Akshay Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra.

Sources say that the director’s brother will debut in a film titled Vathikuchi opposite Anjali, which will be produced by Murugadoss. Also, his production deal with Fox Star has been extended to three more films.

Vijay all set to sing for A L Vijay

Actor Vijay celebrated Deepavali in style, with a smash hit in Thuppakki. He has now begun work on his next film directed by A L Vijay, the filming of which is scheduled to start soon in Mumbai.

Sources say that the actor is now busy mastering Na Muthukumar’s lyrics for the recording, which is expected to happen in Mumbai later this week.

It may be noted that this song will be Vijay’s 25th in his career.
